Flying Saucers

The title says it all! During the exact same night-time tour through the wonderful city of Munich as mentioned in the post below, i made this shot through the window of a coffee shop.

I was a little bit angry with myself for letting the gear at home, leaving me just with my smartphone. The result is relatively low in resolution and rich of grain. Thankfully the digital reproduction of the scene actually is not the star here. The idea of the installation is.

Levitating these cups and saucers in mid air, just held in place with barely noticeable nylon wires, is a masterpiece of eye catching artwork. The floating ring of debris above the bar looks a lot like Saturns thousands of little satellites. For a coffee shop a very, very eccentric decoration. Kudos to you!

Tower of Bells

I shot the following image wandering through munich near the Münchner Freiheit at night. It is hard to say what exactly caught my attention here, but i found the motive somehow interesting. The camera used for this spontaneous shot was an Iphone 6. A device i sold not long afterwards because i found it very unsafe to hold in one hand. The camera however in this phone is an amazing piece of engineering. It excels especially in low light.

Furthermore this first post in the "Snapshot" section marks the beginning of a storyline of spontaneously taken and often imperfect shots. Feel free to comment on any of these moment inspired pieces of my life.
